Announcing the 2004
George H. Mitchell/University Co-op Awards
For Excellence in Graduate Research
The University of Texas at Austin, with the generous support
of the University Co-op, will recognize six UT graduate students for
the pursuit and achievement of excellence in research. Five awards of
$3000 each and one award of $5000 will be presented. In addition, each
award will carry entitlement to pay in-state tuition for the 2004-05
school year.
For the purpose of these awards, research is interpreted
broadly and applications will be judged on the basis of outstanding
contributions to their field of study. Research or writing must be
substantially in progress.
Application Deadline: February 12, 2004, 5 p.m. To qualify
for this award, you must: a) have a research project substantially underway,
b) be currently enrolled in a graduate
program at The University of Texas at Austin, and c) be enrolled full
or half-time at UT Austin during the 2004-05 school year. Both master's
and doctoral students are encouraged to apply.
